Websites
Your public presence, built to help turn visitors into customers.
Here is exactly what a website project includes, in plain English. Every site is custom-coded for your business, never a template, and every item below is part of the standard build.
Below is a sample website we made, which fits in this product tier: multiple pages, galleries, forms, and a design built around its audience. You're welcome to look around.

What’s included
Fast, modern and polished
Loads quickly and feels polished to use, with smooth animations that fit your brand.
Contact and enquiry forms
Visitors reach you without friction. Messages land straight in your inbox, with spam protection built in.
Photo and project galleries
Clean galleries for projects, products, menus, or before-and-after shots, shown the way customers want to see them.
Images and a logo included
Bring nothing: I provide first drafts of every image, and a logo if you need one, built in the Adobe suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Anything a print shop asks for later, you will have.
Customer reviews
Reviews from Google or wherever yours live, shown right on the site, plus a review form that sends new ones straight to your inbox. No customer logins needed.
SEO
Set up properly to get you found locally: fast pages, clean structure, titles and descriptions written around your services and your area, a sitemap submitted to Google, and your Google Business Profile connected.
Events, hours, and location info
Opening hours, a map and directions, and event or availability listings. A shared Google Calendar is an easy way to keep them current, though we can wire in whatever you already use.
Works on any device
Many customers will visit on a phone, so the mobile experience is designed from the start, not squeezed in afterward.
What it costs to build
Most websites in this tier land between $2,000 and $5,000 CAD.
- The consultation and the solution proposal are always free. If I can't find you a real way to save time or money, you shouldn't pay a cent.
- That price is for starting from nothing. You do not need an existing site, content, photos, or even a logo; first drafts of all of it are part of the build.
- You get a fixed quote before any work starts, and it never changes unless you ask for something new and approve the cost first.
- Where your project lands in that range depends on the number of pages and the features you need. Smaller, simpler sites can come in below it.
What it costs to keep running
- Domain name
- $15 to $25 a year
- Your web address, renewed yearly, registered in your name.
- Hosting
- $0 to $10 a month
- Where your site lives. Websites in this tier usually qualify for free hosting tiers, so this is often zero.
- Email delivery
- Usually free
- The service that carries your contact form messages reliably to your inbox. The free tier covers 3,000 messages a month (about 100 a day); a typical contact form rarely uses a fraction of that.
- Business email (optional)
- $0 to $10 a month
- Only if you want a professional inbox at your own domain, like you@yourbusiness.ca. Google Workspace is the familiar default at about $10 a month; budget options like Zoho Mail start near free. Skip it and keep your current email if you prefer.
Everything is paid directly to the providers, in accounts that belong to you, and none of it comes to me. Most websites in this tier cost under $10 a month to run, and there is no required retainer.
The timeline, step by step
From first message to launch, most websites in this tier take 2 to 4 weeks. Here is how it runs.
Step 1: Talk and quote
2 to 4 daysWe start with a conversation about your business and what the site needs to do. You get a fixed quote with milestones, and nothing starts until you approve it.
Step 2: Your accounts, your name
about 1 dayI set up your domain, hosting, and email accounts under your business name from day one, and I build inside them. Your website never lives in somebody else's account.
Step 3: Build with check-ins
1 to 2 weeksI design and build the site in stages and show you real pages as they come together, so we catch anything early.
Step 4: Review and refine
2 to 4 daysYou try the finished site on your own phone and computer, and I make the final refinements.
Step 5: Launch
about 1 dayWe go live together, at a time that suits your business.
Step 6: Handover
about 1 dayYou change the passwords, and we move any two-factor authentication over to your devices together, one account at a time. From that point I can only get back in if you invite me. Everything is yours.
The tech stack, with as little jargon as possible
Every website is a small stack of parts. Below is our proposed tech stack: what each part does for you, and the tried-and-tested service I reach for. Already have a site or platform? We can usually build on what you have.
The website itself
Custom-coded pages written specifically for your business in React and Node.js, the same technology behind many of the web's biggest sites. No page builders and no templates, which keeps the site fast, exactly the way you want it, and free of platform limits: if you can describe it, we can build it, and the site can expand as your business grows.
Your domain name
Your address on the internet, like yourbusiness.ca. Registered to you and renewed once a year, with domain privacy built in so your personal contact details stay out of the public record.
Purchased throughCloudflareHosting
Where your website physically lives. Cloudflare's global network serves some of the internet's busiest sites, which is why hosting at this tier is often free.
Hosted onCloudflareForms and email delivery
A trusted delivery service carries messages from your contact form to your inbox, so enquiries do not vanish into spam folders.
Delivered byResendBusiness email (optional)
A professional address like you@yourbusiness.ca, in a proper inbox with your signature, on your phone and computer. Google Workspace is the familiar default; Zoho Mail is the budget option. Plenty of businesses simply keep the email they already have.
Analytics and reliability
A simple view of how many people visit and what they look at, plus an error monitor that alerts me if something breaks, often before anyone notices.
Version history and backups
Every change to your website's code is tracked and backed up in your own account. Nothing is ever lost, any change can be undone, and any future developer can see exactly how it is built.
Stored onGitHub
Why these services?
Proven, not homemade
Services thousands of businesses rely on, not fragile builds from scratch.
In your accounts
Everything signed up under your business name, always in your sight.
Never locked in
We use mainstream tools any developer can pick up. Never tied to me, or to them.
Inexpensive
Most cost little or nothing at this tier, keeping your running costs low.
This is my go-to stack, tried and tested across years of builds. Already using other services? I can usually work with those too.
Is this the right tier for you?
- You want customers to find you, trust what they see, and get in touch
- You need pages, galleries, reviews, and enquiry forms, rather than logins and checkouts
- You want it done properly once, and owned by you
Need bookings, online orders, inventory, or customer accounts? Then you likely want a business system with a website in front of it. I will tell you honestly which one fits.
After launch
- You own everything: the code, the accounts, the content. There is nothing to buy back and no required monthly retainer.
- You get plain-language documentation explaining how your site fits together, so you are never lost, and any future developer could pick it up quickly.
- If something I built turns out to have a fault, I fix it, and that is not billable work. Changes to outside services, changes made by others, and new requests get a fixed quote first.
- New ideas are always welcome. Anything substantial gets its own fixed quote first, so you always know the cost before I start.
